Is Vida Prescribing?
- Use Case 2: Starting Jan 1, 2025, for prescription weight loss medication to be covered under the Nuvance Health pharmacy benefits plan, it must be prescribed either by Vida Health provider or through Nuvance Health’s Comprehensive Weight Management Program. Medication will not be covered if prescribed by a provider not part of one of those two programs

Nuvance Comprehensive Weight Management Program
- There are months-long wait times to get into the Comprehensive Weight Mgmt Program, so Vida offers a much quicker and convenient way for a person to get into high quality obesity treatment with access to prescribing. Both the CWMP and Vida are using the same BMI threshold/other clinical inclusion criteria for GLP-1 prescribing
- Members have to sign up with Vida or Nuvance to continue prescription
- Vida can prescribe AOM (Anti obesity medications) through Medical Weight Loss program but is based on eligibility
- Grandfather (those currently on a AOM): If members want Vida to prescribe they will be required to submit Medical Record Verification (Vida application will prompt for doc uploads before being able to meet with Vida Medical Prescriber).

Nuvance has a separate program outside of Vida for their non-chronic population called Vitive Health by Sterling Wellness. If members with no chronic conditions are reaching out interested in general lifestyle coaching, please provide the following information:
The Vitive Health wellness program provides you with the resources you need to make positive lifestyle changes. And, to reward you for all your hard work, you can earn points towards wellness credits each year to lower your medical plan premiums. Participation is voluntary.
Vitive Health by Sterling Wellness provides a portal for wellness activities and points, health screenings, coaching, tools and resources.
