Update: Fortune Brand Benefits Partner Transition (Effective 9/1/26)
Effective September 1st, Fortune Brand is transitioning to a new benefits partner. As a result, the source of our eligibility files will be changing.
What You Need to Know:
New File Vendor: We will begin receiving the new eligibility files from Businessolver (previously Alight).
File Specifications: There is no change to the file specs. The new files from Businessolver will follow the exact same formatting and specifications as the current files.

GLP-1 Utilization and Transition Strategy
Following a comprehensive review of historical claims data from CVS, GLP-1 utilization has been categorized into two distinct cohorts: those utilizing the medication for weight loss and those utilizing it for diabetes management. This segmentation ensures a seamless transition of care and clinical oversight.
Group 1: Weight-Loss GLP-1 Utilization
Population: 227 Members
For members currently prescribed GLP-1 medications specifically for weight loss, the transition process is designed for minimal disruption:
Authorization Entry: Rightway will proactively enter any prior authorizations (PAs) received from CVS that correspond to members identified in the historical claims file.
Continuity of Care: Members will continue to fulfill their prescriptions through Vida.
Communication: No formal transition communications will be sent to this group, as Rightway anticipates zero transition-related impact for this population.
Group 2: Diabetes GLP-1 Utilization
Population: 374 Members
Members using GLP-1 medications for diabetes management will follow a standard clinical review process to ensure long-term appropriateness and adherence:
Initial Authorization: Rightway’s standard procedure includes entering a six-month authorization for these members.

PA Extensions & Timing: * If an existing PA is set to expire after June 30, 2026, Rightway will honor that original end date.
If an existing PA expires before June 30, 2026, it will be automatically extended to that date to prevent a gap in coverage.
Renewal & Expiration: Members will receive a PA expiration notice approximately 4–6 weeks before their authorization ends.
Clinical Integrity Review: During the renewal review at the six-month mark, Rightway will verify the clinical intent. If it is determined that a diabetes-indicated GLP-1 is being used strictly for weight loss, the renewal will be denied. In such cases, a new request for a weight-loss-specific GLP-1 may be submitted if clinically appropriate.
On 1/1, VMPs with Fortune patients on Mounjaro will receive the following IDO:Medication Update: Starting 1/1/26 member's insurance plan will no longer cover Mounjaro for weight loss. Please transition to Zepbound.

USE CASE 3: Vida is the only (Anti Obesity Medication) AOM prescriber covered in the plan.
- Members have access to obesity treatment via Vida's Medical Weight Loss program, which includes an extensive medical intake with labs. They receive MNT and health coaching. They will be evaluated as candidates for AOM at the start of the program and throughout, based on their weight loss progress.
- Approx 51 Existing GLP-1 utilizers will be grandfathered for 90 days until 1/1/25 when they would need to enroll as Vida will be the only provider.
ANTI-OBESITY MEDICATIONS
- Effective October 1, 2024, enrollment in Vida Health is required as part of the prior
authorization criteria for Fortune Brands members to be prescribed any anti-obesity
medication, including GLP-1s (for obesity management): Saxenda (liraglitude), Wegovy
(semaglutide). - For members to be prescribed any anti-obesity medication (including GLP-1s for weight loss), they must:
- Be eligible and enrolled in the Medical Weight Loss program
- Meet with a Vida prescriber to obtain the script and coverage
- GLP-1 Grandfathering: Members previously prescribed GLP-1s by an external provider
will need to submit medical records via chat or fax at 877-684-4791 prior to meeting
with the Vida medical provider. Members with a current prescription have until 1/1/2025
to transition to a Vida medical provider.
