GLP-1 Prior Authorization
- Nebraska Medicine member must meet engagement requirements with Vida in order to obtain prior authorization for GLP-1 prescription coverage (initial and subsequent prescriptions)
- Members who want to receive coverage for these GLP-1 medications are required to enroll with Vida in the 1:1 WL+ group coaching program
GLP-1 users will have until 1/1/26 to enroll into Vida to stay on their GLP1s (with monthly engagements).
Automatic Transmission: As long as the member meets the monthly engagement requirements, the information is automatically sent to the PBM (pharmacy benefits manager).
Timing: It takes approximately 48-72 hours for the information to be sent to the PBM.
PA Issue Escalation: If a member meets monthly engagement requirements but still has a Prior Authorization (PA) issue, this should be raised to prodops via Jira to validate that there is no issue with the file being sent to the PBM.
