This educational program seeks to provide a first-line intervention for adults who want to improve their sleep quality and duration. Conditions to Follow:
Many conditions can disturb sleep (GERD, chronic pain, enlarged prostate, etc.). In most cases, these conditions are not contraindications to a sleep hygiene-focused program like this one. These conditions are not exclusion criteria.
However, we will track these conditions for 3 reasons:
1. Ensuring user is getting appropriate care from a physician if they have any of these conditions,
2. If users not getting appropriate care, encouraging them to do so,
3. Accounting for sleep-disturbing conditions in analyses.
All users will be asked whether they have been diagnosed with any of the following sleep-disturbing conditions. If a user endorses one or more of these conditions, coaches should confirm that the user is getting appropriate care for the condition from a physician, encourage them to do so if they are not, and follow up as needed to ensure appropriate care.
