Setting your goals in the Vida app is a core part of tracking your progress and letting your coach know how your wellness plan is going. However, the goal options available to you may be limited based on the specific health program and benefit coverage you are enrolled in (e.g., Medical Weight Loss or Diabetes Management).
Settings & Tracking Goals in the Vida App
If your primary goal is different from what you expected , please know this is usually intended and correct. Your main goal is automatically set to align with the primary clinical objective of your health benefit.
What This Means for Your Care

Program Restriction: If you are enrolled in a program focused specifically on diabetes, the app will only display the "Decrease A1c" goal to reflect the requirements of your coverage.

No Impact on Care: Even though the app only shows one goal, your entire care plan with your coach and provider will always include Weight Loss as a key component of your treatment for diabetes management.

Accuracy: This setting ensures that the treatment and prescribing guidelines you receive are fully compliant with your specific health benefit.
If you believe there is a technical error because your current goal seems completely unrelated to your program, please reach out to our Support team so we can review your account settings.

Setting and Modifying a Main Program Goal
Start by opening the Home tab. Then scroll down until you see the "Trackers" section. To add or edit a Tracker, tap on the "Edit Goals" tab.
To set the main program goal, tap on the blue Start button.
Depending on your program, this may bring up a list of goals or just one goal that your program supports. Tap the goal to select it.
Fill in the requested information, then tap create goal.
Congratulations, you have now created a main program goal! You might also see weekly goals created as part of your program goal.
How to edit or delete your program goal
Tap on the pencil icon
Redefine your goal, then tap update. To remove the goal entirely, tap delete.
You will be asked to confirm if you want to delete the goal. Tap Yes to confirm.
Note: Removing a program goal will also remove all associated weekly goals.

There are 8 different goal categories you can choose to track:

To set a weekly goal
Locate your Trackers list in your Home Screen and tap Edit Goals.
For iOS Devices:
Tap + Add More Weekly Goal located in the middle of the screen.
8 different categories will appear in the middle of the screen. Simply select 1 of these categories, and you will be taken to a new page opening up different trackers within that category. Then select 1 of those trackers.
Here you can modify how many times a week you’d like to keep track of, and the amount you would like to keep track of. Once you’re done, simply press Create Weekly Goal located at the bottom of the screen.
You will be taken back to your weekly goal page. Look! You have a new goal! To return back to the Home tab, tap the x icon located at the top right corner of the screen. You will see your new tracker!
For Android Devices:
Tap the + to bring up the category list of things you can track as a goal.
Tap the category of choice, then tap to select the goal type.
Set the parameters of your goal, then tap Set Weekly Goal.
Your weekly goal will be listed under Weekly Goals.
To return back to the Home screen, tap the Back Arrow located at the top left-hand corner of your screen. You will see your new tracker!
You can always go back into your Goals list to either edit, change, add more, or delete your Goals.
